About Me

Yi Xu, DMA is a collaborative pianist, vocal coach, conductor, and piano educator. A graduate of The Catholic University of America, she has performed throughout the United States and China, including an appearance at Carnegie Hall in 2025. Xu has collaborated with renowned conductor Dr. Jun Kim and accompanied distinguished soprano and vocal pedagogue Professor Hui Cheng Yu. Her experience spans opera, orchestra, chamber music, choral collaboration, and vocal coaching. She currently serves as Art Director of the Howard County Chinese Culture Center and Howard County Chinese School while maintaining a thriving private piano studio dedicated to artistic excellence and lifelong learning.
