Xiaobo Liu is a pianist, educator, and Associate Professor at the Conservatory of Music of Hainan Normal University. As an active performer, he has appeared at prominent venues across the United States, Europe, and China, including Ward Hall in Washington, D.C., Pickman Hall in Boston, Murphy Hall in Kansas, Qintai Concert Hall in Wuhan, and the Guangxi Culture and Art Center. He has also been invited to perform at both the Chinese Embassy and the Italian Embassy in Washington, D.C. Liu has been featured in numerous international festivals and concert series, including Amicafest in Italy, the Lancaster International Piano Festival, and the Washington International Piano Art Series. He earned degrees from Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Longy School of Music, and The Catholic University of America, where he completed his Doctor of Musical Arts under the guidance of Dr. Ivo Kaltchev. In 2022, he received the Luciana Montanari-Mendola Award for Excellence in Piano Performance from the Italian Cultural Association.
