WIYAMS ARTIST PROGRAM
The Washington International Young Artists Music Series (WIYAMS), organized by the International Art Development and Promotion Association (IADPA), is an international artist development program dedicated to discovering, developing, and promoting outstanding young musicians.
Each season, WIYAMS presents 3 to 6 professionally curated concerts, providing a professional performance platform for emerging performers and composers while encouraging artistic collaboration and cultural exchange.
The WIYAMS ARTIST Program recognizes artists at two levels: WIYAMS YOUNG ARTIST and WIYAMS ARTIST. Through the WIYAMS selection process, outstanding performers may first be selected as WIYAMS Artist Candidates. Upon successfully completing an official WIYAMS performance, they are designated as WIYAMS ARTISTS or WIYAMS YOUNG ARTISTS. Selected composers receive their designation according to the requirements of the Composition track.
WIYAMS YOUNG ARTIST
WIYAMS YOUNG ARTIST is awarded to outstanding current undergraduate students majoring in music.
This title is awarded through the WIYAMS selection process according to the requirements of each application track. Recipients become official members of the WIYAMS Artist Program and are recognized for their artistic achievement and potential.
WIYAMS ARTIST
WIYAMS ARTIST is awarded to graduate students in music and musicians holding a graduate degree in a music-related field.
This title is awarded through the WIYAMS selection process according to the requirements of each application track. Recipients become official members of the WIYAMS Artist Program and are recognized for their artistic excellence and professional development.
